Bayi Steel inks supply deal with Kashgar Development & Investment Holdings

Xinjiang-based Chinese steelmaker Bayi Iron and Steel Co. (Bayi Steel), a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xinjiang-based Kashgar Development & Investment Holdings Co., as announced by Baosteel on July 18.

According to the agreement, all the steel products to be used in the construction of the tallest building in Kashgar (268 m high), being built by Kashgar Development & Investment Holdings Co., will be supplied by Bayi Steel. The total supply volume is expected to exceed 100,000 mt.
