Baotou Steel has inked an export contract with Vietnam for the supply of 10,000 mt of steel rails this year - as disclosed by insiders at the mill. Baotou Steel has already completed its first delivery of 3,000 mt of steel rails to Vietnam, the product reportedly receiving praise from the customers. Though Baotou Steel has exported steel rails to many countries and regions, this is Baotou Steel's first time exporting to the Vietnamese market.

As one of the three biggest rail production bases in China, Baotou Steel is currently capable of producing 350 km/h 100-meter high-speed rails, 43-75 kg/m rails and 70-120 kg/m crane rails. Especially in the past few years, Baotou Steel has produced new rail categories, such as high-speed rails, rare earth rails and bainite steel rails through a series of innovations.
