In the first three quarters of the current year, China-based Baosteel Heavy Plate Mill produced nearly 80,000 mt of high value-added steel plates, including nuclear steel, high-strength shipbuilding plate and abrasion-resistant steel plate.
Baosteel Heavy Plate Mill, subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group, mainly produces shipbuilding plate, structural plate, and steel plate for power supply projects. In the past five years, Baosteel Heavy Plate Mill has filled many gaps in the Chinese domestic market which were previously supplied by imports.
