Baogang Group achieves wire rod and bar target for 2011

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group) has announced that in the current year up to December 22 its total wire rod and bar output reached 1,300,409 mt, achieving its full year target of 1.3 million mt for the given products eight days in advance. Meanwhile, in the current year up to the end of November, Baogang Group saw a 48,788.39 mt year-on-year increase in its wire rod and bar output.
 
At the beginning of 2011, Baogang Group set an output target for the year of 700,000 mt of steel bar and 600,000 mt of wire rod for its bar and wire rod mill.
