Baogang commissions new billet casting machine

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steel producer Baotou Iron and Steel Group (Baogang Group) has announced the successful commissioning of its new R 10.5 m (basic radius 10.5 m) six-strand continuous billet casting machine.

Construction work on the casting machine lasted 230 days. The casting machine, which can produce both round and flat billets, will help expand the product mix of the company and boost its competitiveness.
