Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 0.4 percent in early October

In early October (October 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 4,513.3/mt ($651.3/mt), RMB 4,649.7/mt ($671.0/mt), RMB 4,400.8/mt ($635.0/mt), RMB 4,348.6/mt ($627.5/mt), RMB 5,399.7/mt ($779.2/mt) and RMB 4,481.0/mt ($646.6/mt), decreasing by RMB 17.8/mt ($2.6/mt), RMB 18.0/mt ($2.6/mt), RMB 51.6/mt ($7.4/mt), RMB 32.8/mt ($4.7/mt), RMB 38.1/mt ($5.5 /mt) and RMB 29.2/mt ($4.2/mt), i.e., down 0.4 percent, 0.4 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, compared to prices in late September (September 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
