In early October (Oct. 1-10) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400
rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300
wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium
plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,034.5/mt ($320.9/mt), RMB 2,167.1/mt ($341.8/mt), RMB 2,056.5/mt ($324.4/mt), RMB 2,119.8/mt ($334.4/mt), RMB 2,889.0/mt ($455.7/mt) and RMB 2,402.6/mt ($379.0/mt), down RMB 17.9/mt ($2.8/mt), RMB 22.7/mt ($3.6/mt), RMB 14.4/mt ($2.3/mt), RMB 20.1/mt ($3.2/mt), RMB 47.1/mt ($7.4/mt) and RMB 15.0/mt ($2.4/mt), decreasing by 0.9 percent, 1.0 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.9 percent, 1.6 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, compared to prices in late September (Sept. 20-30), as announced by
China’s National Bureau of Statistics on October 14.
