Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has terminated the antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding imports of rod in coils from Indonesia, South Korea and Vietnam

As a result of the investigation, the commission decided that the goods exported from Indonesia by PT Ispat Indo were dumped but by a margin of less than 2 percent, the goods exported from Vietnam were not dumped and there has been dumping of the goods by all other exporters from Indonesia and all exporters from South Korea, but the injury, if any, to the Australian industry that has been, or may be, caused by that dumping is negligible. Accordingly, the commission terminated the investigation.

The investigation was launched in June 2017 upon the application lodged by Australian steelmaker OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd.

The goods in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7213.91.00 and 7227.90.90.
