Argentina’s Acindar appoints new CEO

Argentinian steelmaker Acindar, the local subsidiary of ArcelorMittal, has appointed a new CEO. As of January 2, Marcelo Marino will assume as the company’s new CEO, replacing Jose Giraudo, who has served the steelmaker for about 38 years.

Marcelo Marino has been the vice-president of the Brazilian longs operations of ArcelorMittal Brasil since February 2016. At ArcelorMittal’s Brazilian subsidiary ArcelorMittal Brasil, he worked on different roles, including director of supply and metals general manager. He was also a purchase manager for the South and Central America operations of ArcelorMittal. Marino is a mechanical engineer with MBAs in finance and business management from FIA and Fundação Dom Cabral, both in Brazil.
