Argentina's Ministry of Production announced that it will extend antidumping duties ranging from 60.46 to 83.07 percent on certain imports of cold rolled, plated or coated steel (excluding stainless steel) from South Africa, Korea, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
The MoP reevaluated the antidumping measure first imposed in 2003, after Argentine steelmaker Siderar SAIC requested a review in 2008. The MoP concluded that without the antidumping measures "a re-creation of the damage to the domestic industry" would be likely.
The items affected by these tariff duties are categorized under the following codes: 7209.15.00, 7209.16.00, 7209.17.00, 7209.18.00, 7209.25.00, 7209.26.00, 7209.27.00, 7209.28.00, 7209.90.00, 7211.23.00, 7225.50.00 and 7226.92.00.
