ArcelorMittal to ship sheet piles for iron ore port construction

Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal has announced that it will ship sheet piles produced at its Belval and Differdange mills in Luxembourg to Nunavut, Canada to be used to construct a sheet pile dock at Milne Port, which will serve as the port for Baffinland's Mary River project.
 
Construction works at Mary River iron ore project Baffinland, 50 percent owned by ArcelorMittal and 50 percent owned by Nunavut Iron Ore, Inc., commenced in the second quarter of 2013, with mining of iron ore scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2014 and the first shipment expected during 2015.
