In July this year, ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, will install a new continuous casting billet mill in order to provide the company's section-rolling production with its own square billets. The production capacity of the company is expected to increase from 4 million mt to 5 million mt of steel per year due to the installation of the new mill. The complex will start to operate after cold tests at the beginning of Q4 2011.

ArcelorMittal plans to invest around $894 million in production upgrading in Kazakhstan in the period up to 2015, with its steel production scheduled to increase to up to 6 million mt per year.
