ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, has stated that its rolling shop No. 3 has started to produce 10 mm ribbed steel bars of А500С class according to national standard DSТU 3760:2006.
А500С ribbed bars in coils are of high weldability and this product is used for reinforcing most important concrete-steel structures, for example, being applied in construction of bridges, houses and production facilities. Use of stronger rebar is one way of cost-cutting in concrete-steel constructions and reducing rebar consumption. Use of rebar in coils generates substantial savings for consumers as this product can be cut up with practically no waste at all.
