Global steel giant ArcelorMittal's Spain-based steel mill ArcelorMittal Asturias plans to restart its galvanizing line No. 1 in early April 2014, according to local media reports. The reopening of the line coincides with the company's new "zinc quench" project which will produce high strength and high quality galvanized steel mainly for the Spanish automotive industry.
The galvanizing line in question was idled in November 2011 due to weakening demand.
