Arcelor ups its stake in Acesita to 55.7 percent

Luxembourg-based steel giant Arcelor SA spent almost $205 million to increase its stake in Brazilian steelmaker Acesita SA. Arcelor now holds 90.7 percent of the common shares and 38.1 percent of the preferred shares of Acesita S.A., representing 55.7 percent of the total capital, the company said in a statement today.
