Applied Systems Associates, Inc. (aSa), a software provider for the global reinforcing steel industry announced the release of its cloud-based aSa.Studio and iRebar.com solutions during its Software Forum held in Pittsburgh on March 19-21 attended by worldwide clients and SteelOrbis.

Vice President Tim Berg said, “We are pleased to both hold the company’s 50th year celebration and release two innovative solutions that provide our customers with improved production rates, lower scrap, and timely data at all activity levels which ultimately translates into improved profitability.”

Scott Leib, President and CEO of aSa spoke with SteelOrbis and added, “Both of our products are leading the industry. iRebar.com connects from the planning phase of fabricated rebar all the way to installation while aSa.Studio enhances the industry by providing a leading shearing optimization program.”

iRebar.com is an interactive platform that allows construction professionals to link rebar seamlessly from the 3D modeling level to job-site decision making at the time of installation. The aSa.Studio is a first of its kind SaaS service product that provides a complete enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for the rebar industry that is flexible and configurable worldwide.

According to the website, Pittsburgh-based aSa solutions simplify the production and business requirements of rebar fabrication with software that seamlessly integrates estimates, CAD modeling, and fabrication to financial statements and shipment tracking. The firm also develops specialized software for other construction-related markets including precast concrete product manufacturers, concrete contractors, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
