Anyang Steel hikes its ex-factory prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 23, Henan Province-based Anyang Steel announced its latest ex-factory prices. The details are as follows: 1. Medium plate prices have been increased by RMB 82/mt ($11) for Henan province, and by RMB 47-82/mt ($6-11) for other regions. After the adjustment, the new price in Henan Province of 14-25 mm thick Q235A/B is RMB 3837.5/mt ($494). 2. Rebar and common carbon round steel prices have been hiked 47/mt ($6) for Henan province, and by RMB 47-70/mt($6-9) for other regions. Thus, the new price of 20mm diameter HRB335 is now RMB 3088.5/mt ($397). 3. High speed wire rod prices have gone up RMB 35/mt ($4.5). 4. Angle steel and channel steel have increased by RMB 24/mt($3.1), and so 50*5mm Q235A/B angle steel now costs RMB 3147/mt ($405), while 6.3-10# Q235A/B channel steel costs RMB 2995/mt ($385). The above prices include taxes and are effective as of January 23, 2007.
