Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Anshan Iron and Steel Co. (Anshan Steel) has announced that China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has approved the integration program planned by Anshan Steel and Fujian Province-based Sanming Steel Group.
The program comes within the scope of the Chinese government's development strategy for the economic zone on the western coast of the Taiwan Strait.
