Anglo’s Minas-Rio to supply 1 million mt of iron ore to state-run company in India

Anglo’s Minas-Rio iron ore project in Brazil will supply 1 million mt of iron ore to KIOCL, a state-run company in India, according to media reports.

KIOCL produces iron ore concentrates and iron oxide pellets for domestic companies.

The ramp-up of the Minas-Rio iron ore project is expected to be completed by 2016, when it should have a 26.5 million mt/year capacity. The first shipment of iron ore for KIOCL is expected to be done by September this year.
