Angang-Linggang JV starts production at No. 2 coke furnace

On August 22, the first batch of coke was successfully produced by the No. 2 coke furnace of the Angang-Linggang premium steel program jointly invested in by Chinese steelmakers Anshan Steel Group and Lingyuan Steel Inc.

The program includes the building of two coke furnaces, each with annual production capacities of 500,000 mt of coke.

The construction of the other furnace, i.e., the No. 1 coke furnace, has been finished and it will be put into operation in the near future.
