Missouri-based Alter Trading Corporation has announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase most of the assets of Tenenbaum Recycling Group (TRG) based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The addition of TRG’s 10 locations, mostly in the states of Arkansas and Missouri, expands Alter Trading’s scrap facilities to more than 70. The purchase price was not disclosed but the transaction is expected to close by August 24. Both entities are privately held.

TRG is a scrap recycling company founded in 1890 which achieved revenues of $225 million in 2017 with about 300 employees. Alter Trading plans to continue operating all of TRG's existing locations.

Alter Trading is one of the largest recyclers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the US.
