On May 4, Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, Ukraine, plans to launch a heavy section mill 600, after a 1.5 month of stoppage. According to the company, it has filled its order book with 30,000 tons at the end of April on the production to be produced at the restarted mill. In particular, the company is going to roll 15,000 tons of sections for mine timbering, heavy angles, beam and channel bar. The plans on production of square billet are not clear yet due to insufficient volumes of orders. Most of the products to be produced on the restarted mill will be supplied domestically.
