Alchevsk to increase production in October

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that in October this year its plans to increase its production of rolled steel products by 13 percent month on month to the level of 310,000 mt and aims to increase its production of crude steel by around 11 percent compared to September, to around 345,000 mt.
 
In the January-September period of the current year, Alchevsk shipped 2.5 million mt of steel products, down 11 percent year on year.
