Alchevsk to increase crude steel output in September

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that its plans to maintain its production of rolled steel products in September unchanged month on month at the level of 290,000 mt but aims to increase its production of crude steel by around 10 percent compared to August, to around 321,000 mt.

In the January-August period, Alchevsk produced 2.2 million mt of steel products, down 10 percent year on year.
