US domestic scrap prices up in Ohio and Pennsylvania region for January

Sources inform SteelOrbis that in the Ohio and Pennsylvania region scrap is “trading up at an approximate increase of $20/gt ($20/mt) on prime scrap grades and $25-30/gt ($25-30/mt) on cut and obsolete grades" compared to December settled prices. The table below depicts the price ranges for the various scrap grades.

* Top number denotes change from the bottom of the previous month’s range and bottom number denotes change from the top of the same range in mt terms.
