Domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan

On November 27, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap purchasing prices by mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya regions at JPY 33,500-34,000/mt ($302-306/mt) delivered to customer.

Market sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 prices are presently at JPY 33,750-34,000/mt ($299-$301/mt) delivered to customer. While the top of the range is trending stable in local terms, due to currency fluctuations, scrap prices have declined by $5/mt. The bottom of the range increased by JPY 250/mt but declined $3/mt over the past week.
