US HSS prices revise downward yet again due to soft HRC prices

SteelOrbis sources have confirmed that the current average spot market prices for US domestic HSS tubing has revised downward since our last report a week ago. Current prices are trending at $59.50 cwt. ($1,312/mt or $1,190/nt), FOB mill, against the previous range of $66.50 cwt. ($1,466/mt $1,330/nt), FOB mill.

The continued downward revisions in HSS spot prices, sources note, are directly attributable to softness within the flat rolled steel market.
