US HSS mills announce second price increase in less than 4 weeks

Friday, 30 April 2021 00:35:22 (GMT+3)   |   San Diego

In Friday afternoon letters sent to customers, both Nucor Tubular Products and Atlas Tube announced they'll be raising pricing on all new orders for HSS, pipe, mechanical and piling products by $5.00 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt), effective with all new orders. According to the mills, the latest increase is attributed to several factors, such as rising raw material costs, strong demand, and the volatility of transportation costs.
