Domestic scrap purchase prices in Turkey have remained unchanged since Thursday, September 10, while dollar-based prices have decreased by $1/mt due to the slight change recorded in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. Market sources state that the inactive import scrap market is providing support for the sideways movement of the local scrap market. The benchmark DKP grade scrap quotations in Turkey are in the range of TRY 2,000-2,345/mt, while the dollar equivalent has softened on the upper end to $267-313/mt.
