Today, September 19, some major steel mills in Turkey have decreased their domestic scrap purchases prices, after the drop in import scrap prices in yesterday’s deals. Turkish steel mills’ scrap purchase prices have declined further by TRY 30-90/mt on Turkish lira basis and by $6-16/mt on US dollar basis. According to market sources, following the decline in import scrap prices, other mills are expected to revise their prices.
