Tokyo Steel decreases domestic scrap purchase prices

Sources inform SteelOrbis that Tokyo Steel has decreased scrap purchase prices at its various steel producing sites by JPY 500/mt ($4.56/mt).

While the average price through all its sites decreased by JPY 500/mt, prices are now at JPY 36,625/mt. In dollar terms, due to currency fluctuations, the domestic scrap buying prices remain stable compared to prices published on January 22.
