South Korean mill decreases bid level for Japanese H2 scrap

On June 14, SteelOrbis reported that South Korean Hyundai Steel decreased import bids for Japanese H2 scrap to JPY 33,500/mt ($303/mt) FOB Japan.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that Hyundai Steel has decreased import bids for Japanese H2 scrap again by JPY 500/mt and bids are presently at JPY 33,000/mt ($300/mt) FOB and “will likely attract the wanted volumes.” Due to a stronger JPY over the week, prices only decreased $3/mt.
