Some Turkish mills raise their ship scrap purchase prices

Some of Turkey’s Izmir region-based steel producers have revised their ship scrap purchase prices upwards compared to last week’s levels, increasing them by $3/mt. In the meantime, other buyers prefer to keep their purchase prices for the raw material stable for now. According to market sources, steel producers in the region are trying to shape new purchase price policies that will also allow them procure their scrap needs.

In Turkey's Aliaga region the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
