On July 6, SteelOrbis reported that containerized shredded scrap offers were softening about $5/mt, but at a less pronounced level than HMS I/II 80:20 offers which trended down $10-15/mt compared to late June prices.

Ex-US and ex-UK containerized shredded scrap offers were reportedly at $370-380/mt CFR. Sources say importers remain in a wait-and-see stance and offers from the US and UK for containerized shredded scrap have decreased $5/mt and are now reportedly at $365-375/mt CFR.
