Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have moved up by INR 500/mt over the past week to INR 24,500/mt ($363/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have increased by INR 700/mt over the same period to INR 26,700/mt ($395/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have moved up by $5/mt week on week to $390/mt CFR.
