This week no significant change has been seen in the domestic steel scrap purchase prices in Russia after the earlier reported revisions. Mills have mainly decided to keep their levels stable, taking into account that the domestic scrap collection volumes have been steady. “The collection levels are in line with last week and up by around 50 percent year-on-year, but at this time in 2020, we had experienced the Covid-19 related restrictions. In March this year, the scrap collection was 10 percent lower compared to same period of 2018-2020,” a producer told SteelOrbis.
The scrap exporters have kept their purchase A3 prices stable at $299/mt (RUB 23,000/mt) CPT.
