Some Turkish mills have decreased their local scrap purchase prices by TRY 20-150/mt ($0-18/mt) as compared to the levels recorded on March 15. Meanwhile, some Turkish mills have kept their prices stable in the local currency, with their dollar-based quotations rising by $2/mt today amid the appreciation of the lira against the US dollar. Also, in Iskenderun a producer has decided to increase its local scrap prices by TRY 200/mt or $$28/mt in this period.

Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has settled at TRY 2,750-3,570/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved from the range of $384-483/mt to $366-475/mt.
