According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of October this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded a decrease of €34/mt ($38/mt) on average compared to the corresponding period in the previous month, whereas in September a decline of €12/mt ($13/mt) had been recorded compared to August.
On year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of October this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €96/mt ($108/mt) on average.
