Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices trend stable, slightly up in dollar terms

On July 10, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 25,500-25,800/mt ($235-238/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 28,300-28,800/mt ($261-266/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 scrap is trending stable at JPY 25,500-25,800 ($236-239/mt) and at JPY 28,300-28,800/mt ($262-266/mt for shindachi scrap), all prices delivered to customer. Due to currency fluctuations, H2 scrap increased $1/mt from both the bottom and top of the previous respective range while shindachi scrap increased $1/mt from the bottom of the previous range.
