Japanese H2 domestic scrap prices continue softening

On June 20, SteelOrbis reported domestic H2 scrap prices in Japan at mini-mills in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya at JPY 27,900-28,300/mt ($260-264/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 31,700-32,100/mt ($295-299/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that H2 scrap prices have ticked down and are now at JPY 27,800-28,200/mt ($259-263/mt) for H2 scrap and JPY 31,300-31,800/mt ($292-296/mt) for shindachi scrap, all prices delivered to customer. H2 scrap decreased $1/mt from both the bottom and the top of the respective previous range while shindachi scrap decreased $3/mt from both the bottom and top of the respective range.
