Ex-US scrap bookings in Turkey

SteelOrbis has been informed that three Turkish steelmakers have concluded scrap bookings from different US scrap suppliers. Accordingly, one of the Turkish mills concluded a deal on April 11 for 22,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at $383/mt CFR, 20,000 mt of shredded scrap at $388/mt CFR and 3,000 mt of P&S scrap at $393/mt CFR.
 
The second transaction has been concluded for 13,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at $380/mt, 11,000 mt of shredded scrap at $385/mt and 2,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at $390/mt, all on CFR basis.
 
The third booking has been concluded for 24,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at $384.5/mt CFR, 19,000 mt of shredded scrap at $389.5/mt CFR and 2,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at $394.5/mt CFR.
