SteelOrbis has heard from some market sources that a Turkish steel producer concluded an ex-US deal towards the end of last week for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $285-287/mt CFR. However, most market sources agree that the deal was concluded at $285/mt CFR. If the latter level is confirmed, it means the deal price has softened by $3-4/mt compared to ex-US scrap transaction prices two weeks ago.
