Although an ex-US scrap booking in Turkey at the average price level of $337/mt CFR has been heard today, February 13, in the Turkish market, this cargo consisting of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap, shredded scrap and bonus grade scrap was actually transacted last weekend. With the downward pressure on import scrap quotations in Turkey increasing due to lower demand, ex-Baltic HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers to Turkey are now observed to be lower than $330/mt CFR.
