Market sources inform SteelOrbis that this week's A3 scrap offers from Russia to Turkey are at $375-380/mt CFR Marmara, indicating an increase of $10/mt since last week. Meanwhile, Romanian A3 scrap offers for Turkey stand at $368-370/mt CFR Marmara and at $370-375/mt CFR Nemrut, up by $10-15/mt week on week. Some ex-Romania A3 scrap deals have been concluded in the current week at $368/mt CFR in the Marmara region.

Against the backdrop of increased deep sea scrap prices, short sea scrap suppliers have also revised their offers upwards. In the meantime, Turkish mills have had to accelerate their short sea scrap purchases in line with their needs, as US scrap suppliers have withdrawn their HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers from the Turkish market.  Increased Black Sea scrap offers have gained acceptance in the local Turkish market, where demand is on the strong side.
