Ex-US scrap offers to Taiwan trend down further

On July 27, SteelOrbis reported that ex-US deals on HMS I/II 80:20 scrap were reportedly closed at $332-335/mt CFR Taiwan over the week with rumors of some actively closing at $330-331/mt CFR that day. Offers for the grade were reportedly at $335-340/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that ex-US deals on containerized HMS I/II 80:20 over the week ended August 3 were reportedly at $325-330/mt CFR. Ex-US offers for containerized HMS I/II 80:20 to Taiwan are presently at $330-335/mt CFR. Offer prices declined $5/mt over the week.
