On July 6, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers wide at $340-350/mt CFR as sellers sought to increase deals in an uncertain market.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that deals were completed over the past week at $335-340/mt CFR on adequate demand of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap. HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers are reportedly trending stable at $340-350/mt CFR. A source added that most offers are on the lower end of the range given the latest Turkish scrap buys that trended global prices down and that some quiet offers may even “break under $340/mt with discounts.”
