After increasing slightly in the first week of March, domestic scrap prices in Italy have trended sideways. As reported previously, prices had increased on the back of good demand, lower scrap availability, and higher international raw material prices. According to market sources, local scrap prices should remain at current levels in the coming weeks or increase slightly, depending on the trend of finished product sales and international raw material prices.
