SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,700-9,400/mt ($266-288/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,118-1,194/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-January shipments.
