SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 800/mt ($26/mt) over the past week to NTD 10,600-11,300/mt ($343-365/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have moved up by NTD 3,000/mt ($97/mt) over the past week to NTD 34,500-37,000/mt ($1,116-1,197/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late September/early October shipments.
