SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) over the past week to NTD 16,000-16,700/mt ($559-583/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 67,500-70,000/mt ($2,358-2,445/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late April shipments.
